拉斯古逖堡的希拉
希拉（Syrah，Shiraz）原产于法国罗讷河谷，单宁丰厚有明显的黑胡椒、黑莓香气。这是一个古老的葡萄品种，有人推测从波斯王朝已经开始种了。
拉斯古逖堡的创始人老约翰早在100年前就引种了这个容易出产高质量酒的葡萄品种。这款酒既有赤霞珠那样的强劲单宁和厚重口感，又有黑比诺雅致丰富的果香。闻 的时候，有一种沁人心脾的草地的味道，也许还能闻到像 蘑菇一样的土味。品尝的时候，首先入口的是黑莓丁香的馥郁。喝起来又有一些辛辣如黑胡椒的味道，又像烟熏的味道。回味 则又带有巧克力的有点油油的甜味。此款酒平衡性好，结构丰满 ，回味悠长。

通常，寒冷气候中的希拉，酸度较高，辛辣口感及香 料味比较重。法国罗纳河谷多属此类。
而加州较热天气中的希拉，则拥有较 重的浆果芬芳。适宜搭配 辛辣或浓香的菜品。
Syrah, or Shiraz, originated from Rhône, southeastern France. It is a dark skinned varietal; black pepper and blackberry are Syrah’s signature flavors. Syrah is a varietal with a long historythat began during the days of the Persian Empire.
Founder of Chateau Lasgoity, John Sr. Lasgoity, had planted this varietal over a 100 years ago. Syrah is a steady varietal that can promise consistent, high quality. This wine has the strong tannin and full body like Cabernet Sauvignon and also has the delightful fruit components of Pinot Noir. When smell, there is a fresh breeze of grass, with some earthiness to it. First flavor on your palate is blackberry.
Mid palate can feel some black pepper-like heat, followed by smoky, and bacon. After taste has a hint of truffle, a little bit sweetness, and oily. This wine is well balanced, full bodied, and long lasting on the palate.
Syrah is higher in acidity when it comes from colder regions like Rhône, France. As a contrast, Syrah tastes more fruity when comes from warmer regions like California, US. It is better to pair with spicy and hearty cuisines.
