Misiones Reserva Chardonnay 2005
Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Origin: Rapel Valley
Soil: Alluvial, stony free draining
Climate: The termic oscilation between day and nigth is high, even up to 20°C, that means preservation of aromas and flavour. Spring and Summer seasons were good enough, specially for the concentration in mouth.

Harvest: Hand Harvested
Harvest period: Second and third week of march
Vintage rating: Very healthy , with an excellent ripeness level.
Aging: 70 % fermented and aged during 6 months in French Oak and the other 30% in stainless steel tank.
Chemical Analysis: Alcohol = 13,0° T. Acidity = 3,71 gr/L Residual Sugar = 3,21 gr/L
Treatment: A very careful clarification and cold stabilization.
Production, vinification and aging:
Vineyard are located in the Rapel Valley and are well runned: with a very rigorous irrigation system and results control. At the moment of harvest grapes were at their optimum ripeness level and they were 100% hand harvested. The vinification process was carried out in french oak casks (70% of the product) and the rest (30% of the product) fermented in stainless steel tanks in order to maintain their intense fresh and ripped fruity condition. Before being released into the market, the wine was carefully bottled and rested during three months in centenary cellars with optimum level of both temperature and humidity given by the excellent isolation of the thick adobe walls.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Intense yellowish-greenish
Aroma: Intense and complex, where ripped and citric notes coming from fruits like mandarine are prominent and are blended with notes of tropical fruits like mango and papaya. Its fine and soft wood arises through the toasted hazelnuts and grated coconuts.
Flavour: Fine wine, greassy with an elegant acidity. In the after taste notes of caramel and toffe it can be easily recognized. It’s a wine with a great finish and a pleasant lasting.
Gastronomic Suggestions:
Try it with fish like salmon and corvina, fish souflé, white meats, roasted poultry, fried fish and au gratin oysters, soft chess, pasta with seafood or fish and cream sauces.
