Grapes for this wine come from extremely old Tempranillos vines planted on deep, stony vineyards in the northern sector of the region, near Valladolid. The dry, arid conditions stress the vines and the yields are exceptionally low. Dark in color, this wine offers aromas of spice, leather, and toast, while the flavors are of ripe fruits and espresso, framed by a gentle touch of oak. Unlike so many of the rustic wines of this region, our Rueda has a gentle, silky palate, which serves as the perfect setting for the intense and complex flavors of this remarkable vineyard.
