According to a local consumer, imported wine is like a “sweet pastry” in Ningbo Bonded Area. Just before the Festival holiday, many vintners have started all kinds of promotional and discount activities. A promotion activity in a wine store offers 6 bottles of imported wine for 240 Yuan (approximately 38.50$).

The person in charge of the Ningbo Bonded Area Marketing Development Ltd. said, there are around 3000 different kinds of original bottles imported from EU, the US, Australia and Africa, some 24 countries via Ningbo port. In 2012, it has imported wine 8.65 million liters, with value of 44.81 million US$ and average price of 5.4 US$ per liter.
