If drinking alchohol for Kerala Catholics is to be declared a sin by the Church leadership, it best take wine that is usually used in church service, out of the church or find a replacement. Furthermore, the more one bans alchohol the more likely this will be challenged with further consumption of alchohol and even lead to potential black market practices. The Church leaders should focus on educating towards proper consumption of alchohol and the care for the alcholics. Historically, some of the best alchol drinks could be traced to Catholic monks. I try to enjoy and not to abuse the varied alchohol, at reasonable and friendly consumption. Over the religious holidays of Hannakah and Christmas, we must do all to prevent drunk driving.
