Is there any demand for foreign wine in Chinese wine market?
Yes, there is a great potential demand because:
1. The domestic wine production is insufficient for the need of increasing consumption.
2. There are few quality wines and few varieties in China. Since the wines are quite individual consumer goods, there shall be many options in the Chinese wine market for consumers.
3. In the range of middle-high-grade products (more than USD 2 CIF), the qualities and prices of foreign wines are better than those of domestic wine products.
